What we collect, why, and how you stay in control.

Parimukti runs an open register of teachers and practitioners. The owner and data controller is Parimukti Trainings and Retreats, a proprietorship based in India. Our public address is PO Box 4726, Burbank, CA 91502, USA. Contact: kristina@parimukti.in.
Public listings can be found by search engines and copied by others. We cannot control copies made by third parties, but we remove the listing from our site and ask search engines to refresh when you ask us to.
We do not make decisions about you by automated means, and we do not ask for sensitive data such as health or religion. A tradition you choose to list is professional information, not a statement about belief.
We publish a photo only if the teacher uploaded it for their own listing and confirmed they have the right to use it. Do not upload a photo of another person. If a photo shows someone who did not agree, or you hold the copyright, tell us and we remove it.
We check a certificate when the issuing school writes to us from its official domain, or by checking it against its own details. We do not email schools. We share a teacher's name, course and year with a school only in reply to that school's own message to us.
We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for advertising. We use these service providers to run the register:
These providers may process data outside your country, including outside the EU, UK and Switzerland, and outside India. Where the law requires it, we rely on the safeguards those providers offer, such as standard contractual clauses. We may also disclose data when a court or authority lawfully requires it.
A listing stays until the teacher asks us to remove it, or we remove it under our terms. Private certificate uploads are deleted once the check is finished, and in any case within 90 days. Removal requests, school emails and our notes about them are kept for 2 years as a record that we acted, then deleted. Unconfirmed submissions (where the teacher never confirmed their email) are deleted within 30 days.
Wherever you live, you can ask us to show you your data, correct it, delete it, or stop using it, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. If you are in the EU, UK or Switzerland you also have the right to export your data, to object to processing, and to complain to your local data protection authority. If you are in India you can also nominate another person to act for you if you die or cannot act, and you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India once it is in place. If you are in California, you have the rights to know, delete and correct. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in California law, and we do not discriminate against anyone for using these rights.
The fastest way is report or remove a listing, or write to us at kristina@parimukti.in. We reply within 30 days, usually much sooner. We may need to confirm that you are the person concerned before we act.
The register does not set advertising or tracking cookies. Our host may set a technical cookie needed to keep the site working or secure. If we add analytics or other optional cookies later, we will ask first.
Grievances about your data or a listing go to Avdhoot Limaye, proprietor, at kristina@parimukti.in. We acknowledge within 24 hours and aim to resolve within 15 days.
Parimukti is for adult teachers. We do not knowingly list or collect data from anyone under 18.
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we update the date above and tell listed teachers by email.
